Official one for DirectX 9 game issues

AMD has now officially released its newest Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 update which fixes issues seen in some DirectX 9 API games, as well as a couple of other minor fixes.

The new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 is the official update which comes with a fix for the same DirectX 9 APU game issues that was available with the Alpha update released earlier this month. In case you missed it, the issue was with the driver incompatibility with SAGE engine games that were using DirectX 9 API, and which included some Command and Conquer titles like the Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3, Red Alert 3 Uprising, Tiberian Twilight as well as The Witcher Enhanced Edition and Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2.

In addition to this fix, the new Radeon Software 18.1.1 update also fixes stuttering seen when using the performance metrics feature in Radeon Overlay, freeze or hang issues with protected video content, issues with StarCrat 2, issues with bezel compensation controls, color corruption problems in Radeon Overlay, issues with Radeon WattMan fan slider when loading profiles, issues with Enhanced Sync failing to enable for game profiles when using Vulkan API, menu item flickering bug in PUBG on multi-GPU systems, and an issue with incorrect values reported by CLINFO in multi-GPU configurations.

The new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 supports all graphics cards since Radeon HD 7700/7900 series and is available for Windows 7 and Windows 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

You can find the new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 update over at AMD's dedicated support page.
