Sadly though the leak, picked up by Videocardz, did not reveal any specs, so feel free to speculate. AMD is planning to host a webcast on March 26, but that's about it. We still don't know whether the card will actually be launched then, or whether it's part of a bigger launch event that may even include the rumoured R9 295X2.
Nvidia has reigned supreme in the professional market for years and its Quadro products are probably the best money makers it currently has. Sales are good, margins even better. However, AMD wants a piece of the action and back at the Hawaii launch last year we were told the company hopes to seize more share in the professional market.
AMD currently holds about a fifth of the pro market, but it is hoping to reach 30 percent this year, mainly thanks to the lucrative Mac Pro deal.
