First, an open source drive appeared that allowed Kinect to be connected to the PC, and now only a couple of days later and drivers and tools are available for Mac OS X folks to check out Kinect as well. As with the PC drivers, things on OS X are primitive, but it would appear that it is off to a good start.
The OS X version is an adaption of the already released PC version of the drivers that was converted by Theodore Watson. He says that some changes to the code were made to adapt it to OS X, but the majority of the code is actually unchanged.
