If you have been following the Jason West and Vince Zampella saga, you know by now that the two former Infinity Ward head honchos have formed a new company called Respawn Entertainment that has a distribution deal with Electronic Arts. A posting by the two on Facebook claims that the pair will have a “big time announcement” they will be delivering next week at E3.

It really is anyone’s guess what this announcement could be. Respawn has not really even been around that long and the ink isn’t even dry on the deal with EA Partners. Could it be that West and Zampella have had an idea for a project in mind for a long time and only now are able to execute on their plan?

We are not expecting much, maybe some vague details with a title name and maybe a logo, if we are lucky. The biggest news could be a potential release date, but we have to think that if they are able to ramp up quickly, they might be able to deliver something by the fall of 2011 at the earliest. Don’t expect much, but knowing these guys and the given situation we think it will be one part PT Barnum with a little bit of Cliffy B thrown in for good measure; but we know it will not be boring.
