For those Xbox 360 owners that need another reason to buy the upcoming Splinter Cell Conviction, you might not have to look any further than the news that buyers will get access to the summer multiplayer beta of Tom’s Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta.

Details are currently sketchy at best, but from what we hear each and every copy will come with a code that invites players to the summer multiplayer beta of Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Ubisoft is billing Ghost Recon Future Soldier as the next-generation of FPS experience.

The game itself will be based in a future where soldiers wear exoskeletons that allow higher levels of physical performance. In addition, the game will feature advanced weapons yet offer the combat feel that we have seen in past generations of Ghost Recon games.

Ubisoft will be looking to ramp up the excitement level for the Ghost Recon franchise as the company attempts to restore some of the luster that the series has perhaps lost in the past several releases. The game will try to better compete with FPS multiplayer titles such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, and the recently rebooted Medal of Honor. However, many remain somewhat skeptical, as FPS combat titles that stray too much into the future do not seem to attract as much attention from buyers as do titles set in more current times.
