Cliff Bleszinski is tweeting that rumors that are based on scans of a Russia magazine about Gears of War 3 are spreading a lot of false info. Since the official announcement that Gears 3 was coming, things have grown a bit silent; and it seems now that people are just making up what they want to read.

While we continue to hear that Gears 3 will be the end of the trilogy, we do know that rumors are circling that plans are already in the works for a possible spin off of Gears 3. Of course, it is likely that this is exactly what Cliffy B was talking about, but right now it is hard to know.

According the rumblings we are hearing, more specifics are going to be announced and shown at E3, but it is hard to say what exactly that might be. Right now we will have to wait and see what shakes out; but we do think it is possible that some of the whispers are true. However, it is really a question of which ones.
