Including the first 4K/UHD EliteDisplay

In addition to new EliteBook 800 G5 series notebooks and ZBook 14u/15u G5 mobile workstations, HP has also unveiled a couple of 4K/UHD monitors, including both the first 4K/UHD EliteDisplay series monitor and a Z-series 4K/UHD 43-inch monitor.

HP said the HP EliteDisplay S2170n is not only the first EliteDisplay series monitor with 4K/UHD 3840x2160 resolution but also the first to come with a single USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.2 support and ability to deliver up to 60W of power to a connected device. The rest of inputs include two HDMI and one DisplayPort 1.2.

Based on an IPS panel, the EliteDisplay S270n will offer 1300:1 contrast ratio, 14ms response time and 350cd/m2 maximum brightness. As was the case with the rest of EliteDispaly S-series monitors, the EliteDisplay S270n will also use "refined and elegant" materials as well as having a  three sided microedge bezel.

HP also unveiled three new Z-series monitors, including the Z27, Z32 and the Z43. All three will be based on different sizes of 4K/UHD resolution IPS panels with LED backlight and offer similar specifications.

The HP Z27 offers 350cd/m2 of maximum brightness, 1300:1 static contrast ratio, 8ms GTG response time and comes with DisplayPort 1.2, mini DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 inputs as well as the USB Type-C input with Alternative mode DisplayPort 1.2 support and power delivery of up to 65W. It will also offer tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments.

The slightly larger Z32 uses a 31.5-inch panel with 350cd/m2 maximum brightness, 1300:1 static contrast ratio and 14ms GTG response time. It has the same inputs as the HP Z27 and has tilt, height, and swivel adjustments.

The last but definitely not the least, is the largest Z-series HP monitor so far, the 42.51-inch Z43. Its panel offers 350cd/m2 maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 8ms GTG response time. Although it comes with the same display inputs, it lacks some adjustments as it can only tilt and swivel, probably mostly due to its 16.95kg weight.

According to HP, all these monitors will be available shortly with a price set at US $549 for the EliteDisplay S270n, US $559 for the Z27, US $899 for the Z32 and US $799 for the Z43.
