LG G6 expected at MWC 17

Invitations sent for February 26

LG didn’t have much success with its rather interesting modular LG G5 phone, but the company is ready to replace that one with a new and updated LG G6.

The invitations have been sent and you can expect to learn more about the upcoming product on Sunday February 26 after 12.00 noon. The teaser includes a phone without much bezel and since this might be the direction where many are going this year, we can expect that the new phone has more of the front covered in screen.

LG G6 is expected to drop the modularity in favor of a metal and glass design, but this will probably make the phone more compact too. The phone is expected to keep the 3.5 headphone jack too (why shouldn't it?). The phone might get the waterproof stamp and a larger 5.7-inch display with 2880x1440 resolution.

There has not been any confirmation but we expect to see the phone running the flagship Snapdragon 835, continuing the long tradition and of course LG's focus on fighting the upcoming Galaxy S8 that is also expected to come with the Snapdragon 835 and the Exynos 8895 10nm processor too.
