Galaxy Note 6 gets the Snapdragon 823

Qualcomm’s Unreleased most powerful chip

The Galaxy Note 6 will feature Qualcomm's most powerful mobile chip — the so-far unseen Snapdragon 823.

The Snapdragon 823 chipset has 2.6GHz 64-bit class Kryo quad-cores, a 720 MHz Adreno 530 GPU and a Hexagon DSP. The Adreno 530 at 720 MHz should mean a 40 per cent improvement in graphics and a 30 per cent better power efficiency.

Most new flagships headed for a 2016 launch will use the Snapdragon's 820 and the next chip in line would be the 823. So far though there has been little official released about it.

According to SamMobile other devices to get the Snapdragon 823 will include LG's Flex 3 and an unknown Xperia model from Sony.

Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy Note 6 is also going to have a 5.8-inch display and 6GB of RAM. Recent reports also indicate that the device may be IP68 water resistant and come with an iris scanner.

Samsung wants to release the Note 6 much earlier to spoil Apple's iPhone 7 launch. This would mean that we will see it between June and July 2016.
