While most Apple iPhone rumours are ten a penny, our sources are confident that the next generation 4-inch iPhone lets call it iPhone 6C (7C) is getting an Intel 4G / LTE modem.

A video of a chap unboxing a production quality next generation 4-inch iPhone has turned up online. From what you can see from the 40 second video is that the phone has been completely redesigned. It could have one of the many names that have been spinning around including iPhone 6C, 7C as well as the 5e.  The iPhone6c is the most likely.

The new 4 inch phone looks like iPhone 6 / 6S which has shrunk in the wash.  The metal design gives a phone much more high quality look compared to iPhone 4c plastic edition. The metal finish comes with a mandatory antenna line which was something we saw with the iPhone 6 and 6S.

The next generation 4-inch iPhone has a home button with touch ID sensor that will quickly let users unlock the phone and use it for Apple Pay too. The phone should be coming with the Apple A8 SoC, 1GB RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera and NFC.

The rear camera sticks out, something that we saw with iPhone 6 and 6S. There are a lateral mute and volume rocker on the left hand side and power button and sim tray on the right. The 3.5 inch headphone connector is still there and sits at the bottom of the phone. It is positioned right from the central positioned lightning connector. To the right of the lightning is a single speaker which was  something we've saw in the flagship iPhones. The iPhone 7 might come this spring too.

Our sources are confident that this phone should launch in the first quarter of 2016 and Apple will probably have an event to showcase it.
