by on09 September 2015

Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 included

Google has released a new software update for its entire line of Nexus devices, including Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 9.

According to a report from Androidpolice.com, the entire Nexus line started to receive a new software build, which does not change the Android version from 5.1.1. The new build number LMY48M, is the first of the recently promised monthly security updates after the issue with Stagefright vulnerability.

In addition to security updates, the new build should also have certain bug fixes. According to details, the update is quite small, about 30MB on the Nexus 6 and 20MB for the rest of the lineup.

Google will roll out the update in waves so it might take some time before you get the OTA update on your Nexus device.
