EVGA releases more custom GTX 1080 Ti details

by on24 March 2017

Updated: Pre-order starts on March 28th

EVGA has finally told us a bit more information about its upcoming custom GTX 1080 Ti lineup, which includes the GTX 1080 Ti SC2, GTX 1080 Ti SC Black and the flagship GTX 1080 Ti FTW3.

We already saw EVGA's GTX 1080 Ti custom lineup earlier, but unfortunately, the full details, like the actual GPU clocks have not been "unveiled".  EVGA has told us a bit more, listing all three custom graphics cards in its shop.

The EVGA GTX 1080 Ti custom lineup starts with GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Gaming and GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition. Both of these graphics cards are pretty much the same with the only difference in the actual color of the shroud. Both use the same 7+1-phase VRM, powered by 8+6-pin power connectors and the new iCX Technology dual-fan cooler with white LEDs. Since these are pretty much the same graphics cards, it comes as no surprise that both will work at 1556MHz GPU base and 1670MHz GPU Boost clocks.

The flagship GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 is a completely different story, as this is a flagship card that comes with a 10+2-phase VRM, powered by two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, triple-fan iCX Technology cooler with nine thermal sensors and RGB LEDs. Since it packs a much beefier VRM, the GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 works at 1569MHz GPU base and 1689MHz GPU Boost clock.

In case you somehow missed it earlier, the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card is based on a GP102 Pascal GPU, the same one that was used on the Nvidia Titan X graphics card and comes with 3584 CUDA cores, 224 TMUS and 88 ROPs, and 11GB of GDDR5X 11Gbps memory on a 352-bit memory interface.

Unfortunately, EVGA is still being coy about the price, but hopefully, we will get those final pieces of information soon.

Update: EVGA has just released slightly more information stating that the new EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 and EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 iCX will be available for pre-order as of March 28th, when we will also get more details regarding pricing as well as the availability/shipping date and more.
