Coming with bonus install problems

Nvidia has released its newest Geforce 364.47 WHQL Game Ready drivers which are the ones to have in case you are looking to play Tom Clancy's The Division, which launched earlier today, but unfortunately, there are some install problems as a bonus as well.

The new Nvidia Geforce Game Ready 364.47 WHQL drivers, according to the release notes, brings all performance and other optimizations for Ubisoft's hot new Tom Clancy's The Division title as well as performance optimizations for Need for Speed, Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider and the Ashes of the Singularity. It also comes with an update for Vulkan API support for The Talos Principle.

Unfortunately, the new Nvidia Geforce Game Ready 364.47 WHQL drivers are plagued by some installation issues, with users reporting a crash during installation, which then leads to a black screen and problems with booting back into Windows. Nvidia has acknowledged the problem but it is still not clear what is causing the issue with Nvidia suspecting a multi-monitor setup to be an issue. Thankfully, the problem is easily fixed by booting into safe mode and completely uninstalling either the previous drivers or the new ones, or simply using a custom installation with clean installation option.

As always, you can find the new drivers at Nvidia's dedicated drivers support page
