Asus is apparently working on what might easily end up to be a most powerful graphics card that you can pair up with a mini-ITX motherboard and squeeze inside a small mini-ITX PC system, the Asus Geforce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini.
In case you are wondering, the entire graphics card is 17cm long which is exactly the size of a mini-ITX motherboard (17x17cm) and it was a perfect chance for Asus to make its quite impressive P8Z77-I DELUXE Z77-based motherboard just a bit more appealing. According to Techpowerup.com, the new Asus GTX 670 DirectCU Mini uses 5-phase VRM and needs a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector.
As far as it can be seen from the first pictures, the cooler appears to take up two slots and features a rather hefty aluminum heatsink cooled by a single fan. Unfortunately, the new GTX 670 DirectCU Mini is still in its "developement" phase so we are not looking at a final design and have no idea regarding the price or the availability date.
