The shortage of the Wii games console will continue for some months. Speaking to Game Theory Podcast, Perrin Kaplan, Nintendo’s VP of marketing and corporate affairs said that there was a lot going on behind the scenes in terms of working on what we are producing.
However the Wii is proving so popular and the numbers continue to rise and a "supply / demand situation" might last for some time.
Wii production was flat out and has far exceeded Nintendo's normal hardware output. Kaplan said that it would take a few more months to get enough Wiis into the shops and she asked buyers to be patient.
