Windows 10 has 53 million installs

About the population of South Africa

Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system has been getting some good take-up despite people having loading problems, and the software treating privacy in the same way as a compulsive peeping tom.

A couple of days after its official release, Microsoft bragged that the operating system had seen over 14 million installs but that number has since tripled.

Neowin reports that the installs are now at over 53 million.

This is probably a leak from Vole itself. Neowin have a few reliable deep throats in Vole who like to have a drink before they leak.

In terms of OS market share, Windows 10 now accounts for 4.95 per cent, so it looks like those numbers have doubled.

Windows 10 does have a few good things going for it. At the moment it is free, it looks like Windows 7 and has all the rubbish which was Windows 8.1.

That said it has not bedded down particularly well on the one computer in my household which took the download. Although the Edge Brower is faster, the connections to the Internet seem slower.

Still Microsoft should be pleased with those figures, we just wonder how it thinks it is going to make money off this.
