Renders internet pointless
Although Tunisia seemed to have taken a step away from censorship following the Arab Spring, it is clear that it was only an attempt as it moved quickly to reintroduce it.

Namely, sites with pornographic and adult content were blocked for not complying with religious values and posing a danger to Tunisian youth. We’re pretty sure nobody asked the youth though.

Tunisia abolished such censorship with the formation of new government in January. But after banning several specific sites and some Facebook profiles it came into effect once more.

It is said that Tunisian internet traffic goes through a single ISP, which is a dream come true for censors. It also said seven of the top 100 sites visited since January in Tunis were porn sites.
