GlacialTech shows off new X-Wing notebook cooler

Two versions

GlacialTech has announced a new notebook cooler  for 7-inch to 17-inch notebooks, the X-Wing. The X-Wing notebook cooler will be available in two versions and a choice of four different colors, silver, red, yellow and white.

The dimensions of the X-Wing pad are 380x350x50mm and it weighs 1.2kg for the R1 version and 1kg for the R2 version. It features 3 USB ports, has height adjustment and uses a 70mm blower fan. The top part is made out of metal mesh, while the rest of the pad is made out of plastic.

The R1 version has a 70mm fan that spins from 1000 to 1600RPM in six steps, and features like media keys, panel control, adjustable fan speed, all touch controls, and temperature and fan speed display. The R2 version lacks all these features but has a same 70mm fan which spins at maximum 1600RPM.

GlacialTech claims that X-Wing can bring lower temperature of up to 14°c on average. The price or the availability date haven't been announced.
