Acer has announced a new notebook in its Ferrari lineup, the Ferrari 1200. This new Acer notebook will feature 12.1-inch Acer CrystalBrite backlit LCD screen, AMD's Turion X2 Ultra CPU and AMD's M780G chipset.

The detailed specifications are still unknown but we guess that Acer is going to have few models of the Ferrari 1200, depending on the amount of memory, Turion X2 Ultra CPU model and amount of storage. The new Ferrari will be based on AMD's M780G chipset which means that it is DirectX 10 capable thanks to integrated Radeon HD 3200 graphics.

The notebook lid is made out of carbon-fiber so we expect this one to be very light. The touchpad is apparently made out of anodized metal, and the ventilation holes that look like air intake on a Ferrai car, or exhaust on a Ferrari F1 car according to Acer's press release. The last but not least is the sweet Ferrai logo placed on a lid.

The rest of the noted specifications include a webcam, Wi-Fi, Windows Vista Home Premium, Business or Ultimate as well as some unique bluetooth wireless mouse and optional Xpress VoIP phone. Unfortunately, the price or the availabilty date are still unknown but we will keep our eyes wide open for this one.
