Can be a CPU cooler as well

The latest addition to the Zalman's line of GPU coolers has been finally pixellized. The new VF2000 LED has been presented at this year's CES show, but they somehow forgot to mention the fact that it can be a CPU cooler as well.

According to the pictures over at Matbe.com, it will be possible to mount the new VF2000 LED as a CPU cooler as well. The VF2000 LED measures 126x110x45mm and weighs 290g. The heat is transfered from the block to aluminum fins via four heatpipes and the cooler features a 90mm PWM blue LED fan.

The only drawback, as far as the CPU cooling goes is that the VF2000 LED can only cool CPU's that has TDP lower than 110W. It's not a high performing CPU cooler but with its low profile it might be a HTPC dream. It will support Intel's socket LGA-775 as well as the AMD AM2, AM2+ and AM3 sockets. As far the graphics card cooling goes, it will be compatible with most GPUs such as the Nvidia G9x and ATI RV700 series.

The launch date and the suggested price are still unknown but we shouldn't wait for long, as it looks like a finished product. You can find more pictures here.
