Apple goes for bigger tablet

by on01 December 2014

At last something we agree on

Fruity cargo cult Apple has learnt from its phablet mistakes and realising that bigger is sometimes better.

A new leak published by Japanese magazine Mac Fan suggests the iPad Air Plus, will sport a 12.2-inch screen and thinner and more bendy than the iPhone 6 plus. The iPad Pro will be getting a whole new processor, the A9, which will be an upgrade from the A8X processor found in the iPad Air 2.

Apparently, the iPad Pro will launch along with a new iPad mini 4 (which sports the same A8X processor found in the Air 2 along with a thinner design) sometime between April and June 2015. All this actually makes a lot of sense. A bigger tablet, provided it is not heavy or too floppy, is the way to go when the smaller tablet market has been destroyed by cheaper and better tablets. Apple’s biggest problem though will be making the tablet strong enough, particularly as it cannot rely on Sapphire glass to keep it strong.
