Lenovo launches two new Chromebooks

by on06 May 2014

Quasi hybrid and Plain Jane flavours

Lenovo has launched two new Chromebooks and one of them is rather odd. The N20p features a 300 degree hinge reminiscent of the company’s Yoga series notebooks.

Thanks to the oversized hinge the N20p can be used in stand mode, which is good for video playback and it also makes sense for touchscreen input, which is a good thing since the machine features an 11.6-inch 1368x768 10-point multitouch display. The N20 is the vanilla version sans 300-degree hinge. The spec is more or less the same, Celeron processors, 4GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage backed by 100GB of Google Drive storage.

Both Chromebooks feature full size keyboards, Bluetooth, a/b/g/n/ac wireless, card reader, HDMI and a couple of USB ports. Lenovo puts the battery life at eight hours. The N20 ships next month with a price tag of $280, while the N20p should appear in August with a $50 premium.
