360 version of Titanfall leaks early

by on04 April 2014

1GB install required for 360 owners

With Titanfall being one of the biggest games of the year, it comes as little surprise that we are receiving word that retailers a breaking the street date of April 8th in North America. Pictures of the game box and disc are showing up from a number of sources around the Internet, but we would not call the breaking of the street date wide spread as of yet.

A couple of things that we have found out however about the 360 version. The first of which is those Xbox 360 users that are low on hard disk space had better clear some as the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall requires 1GB for installation.

The second thing is that it has been confirmed that even if you get it early, as of right now you will be able to install it, but you will not be playing it because the required servers have not been turned on to allow play and as of this writing, it does not appear that they will be turned on till April 8th as scheduled. A Respawn Twitter posting confirms that as of right now.

We still don’t have a clue how it plays and it does not look like we will till April 8th. As we have told you before, both EA and Respawn have a lot riding on the success of the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall because there are just simply more Xbox 360 users to sell a copy of the game to. Rumors we hear suggest that the frame rate issues have been improved in time for release and these final optimizations were the reason for the initial delay of the 360 version of Titanfall.
