Aggressive push pays off

LG has announced that it has reached another milestone by selling over 10 million LTE enabled smartphones so far. Although it does not sound much considering that we are talking about worldwide sales it is still double the amount that LG managed in August and should rise quite fast considering that LG has just introduced a couple of new LTE enabled smartphones.

As you may already know, LG has made a lot of noise during MWC 2013 show in Barcelona and has launched its new flagship Optimus G in more than 50 countries. More importantly, LG announced the Optimus F7 and Optimus F5 that will aimed at those looking for a more budget friendly LTE smartphone.

In addition to the the Optimus G and the new Optimus F7 and F5, LG is also preparing the Optimus G Pro, a new flagship model. LG aimes to double its market share in the LTE-enabled smartphone market. According to Dr. Jong-seok Perk, President and CEO of LG Mobile, the company is doing an aggressive push forward that will allow LG to satisfy the needs of consumers and plans to expand the footprint in the global LTE market with a wider range of differentiated, high quality LTE smartphones.

Strategic Analytics report predicts that global 4G LTE smartphone shipments in 2013 should reach 275 million units and we are sure that most companies will certainly want a piece of that cake.
